About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at il Negozio Nicastro. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and provide a positive dining experience.
  • Kitchen Operations: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and package take-out food.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and maintain a clean and tidy dining area.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment.
  • Skills: Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods and lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
  • Transportation: Own transportation required.
