US Corporate Tax Specialist

KPMG-Canada is seeking a US Corporate Tax Specialist to join our growing practice in Calgary.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to providing insightful tax solutions for clients across various industries.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on complex cross-border tax matters, offering expert advice to clients.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies for Canadian companies operating in the US market.
- Provide support throughout M&A transactions, private equity deals, and post-merger integration processes, ensuring seamless tax compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development and expertise in US taxation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify new business opportunities and expand KPMG's footprint in the US corporate tax market.
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or law firms, specializing in US tax advisory services.
- Master's degree in Law (LL.M.) or Taxation (M.Tax).
- Preferred accreditation as a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA).
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and supporting team members.
- Exceptional communication and client service skills, ensuring clear and concise interactions with stakeholders.
- Proven project and client management experience, effectively handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A highly motivated individual with a growth mindset, eager to contribute to KPMG's success in the US corporate tax market.
