About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Professional Development Specialist with a proven track record in designing and delivering engaging training programs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive training initiatives that align with our organizational goals and industry best practices
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Team Leaders, HR, and key stakeholders, to create inclusive and high-quality training experiences
  • Staying current with changes in accounting and auditing standards, as well as professional ethics, to ensure our professionals remain at the forefront of their field
  • Conducting new hire and ongoing staff training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to foster a culture of continuous learning
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or business, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm
  • Technical knowledge in audit, financial reporting, tax, or corporate finance, with expertise in management of audit engagements and design and testing of internal controls
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software, such as CaseWare or TaxPrep, with experience in learning management system (LMS) implementation and administration being an asset
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to deliver responsibilities with minimal direct supervision
