Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Processing Labourer to join our team at PH Food Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our meat processing and packing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials as needed.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
  • Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers.
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors and manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers.
  • Feed and unload processing machines, and check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, and clean machines and immediate work areas.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work site environment: Odours, wet/damp conditions.
  • Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.
  • Physical demands: Repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, hand-eye co-ordination, standing for extended periods, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, physically demanding work, and working under pressure.
  • Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal suitability: Reliability, team player.
