About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at PerkinElmer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development, installation, and maintenance of electronics for new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative electronics solutions.
  • Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of existing systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement circuit improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with research teams to identify needs and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support design and testing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on mixed-signal design and high-voltage power supply design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard CAD packages, such as OrCAD and Altium.
  • Experience with advanced simulation and analysis tools, such as PSpice circuit analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, with the ability to develop cost-effective and reliable designs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with IPC standards and PCB manufacturing from an electronic design perspective.
  • Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting PCBAs.
  • Strong knowledge of EMI-EMC management techniques to pass compliance testing of electronic equipment.
