Android AOSP Engineer (Senior / Staff) Job Description

Aescape, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Android AOSP Engineer (Senior / Staff) to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing software systems running in AOSP for our new setup and control experience product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement new device drivers and features through the AOSP stack, Linux driver, HIDL, Binder, AIDL, and Java SDK.
  • Design and develop innovative, customized features and modules, and optimize Android systems at the framework level.
  • Strong knowledge of Android Framework, Android System-Vendor services, JNI, AIDL, and Se-policy rules in Android framework.
  • Programming skills with C/C++, JAVA/Kotlin, Python, and Shell script.
  • Experience with development tools like GIT, SVN, JIRA, and Android Studio.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or relevant experience.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Android porting on various platforms and device-based customization of UI and backend services.
  • Experience with Android HIDL for vendor-specific modules such as Cameras, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 9 Axis Sensors, and Battery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a few areas of AOSP and Linux kernel.
