Electrical Engineering Lead (BBBH10817)

Salary: CAD 101,000 - CAD 110,000 per year

This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of electrical engineering solutions for industrial equipment and products. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in electrical design, drafting, and project management.

A deep understanding of CSA and UL standards, as well as hazardous location classifications and requirements, is essential. Experience or knowledge in PLC programming is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the design and detailed engineering processes for industrial electrical equipment and products.
  2. Develop and implement electrical drawings, select and size electrical components, prepare bills of materials, and provide technical support to other departments.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, including CSA 22.1, CSA 22.2 No. 14, 25, 30, NFPA 70, NFPA 496, UL 508, UL 508A, UL 698, UL 698A, IEC 60079-0, IEC 60079-1, ATEX, Low Voltage, and EMC directives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience, with a focus on power systems, control systems, and automation.
  • Expertise in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SEE Electrical, and/or SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming is an advantage.
