Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Team Lead to join our team at RONA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership to team members, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of tasks, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching, counselling, and training to team members to ensure competence and adherence to safety protocols
  • Establish workflows based on delivery orders and scheduling to optimize operational efficiency
  • Assign work to team members, considering available hours, skill sets, and resources to meet operational targets
  • Work with Customer Service team members to coordinate loads and carriers
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure all safety rules and procedures are followed
  • Identify problem areas and arrange training when necessary
  • Prepare and participate in the annual performance review process
  • Investigate new logistical innovations to enhance facility performance
  • Identify and assist in implementing process improvements
  • Attend job-related courses to remain current on industry trends and best practices
Requirements
  • College degree in logistics, production and operations management, replenishment, administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience and/or education)
  • 3-5 years of prior supervisory or team leader experience in a similar position
  • Proven team-building skills and ability to manage change well
  • Understanding of Fulfilment/Distribution Centre/Warehouse processes and flow
  • Functional bilingualism (an asset)
  • Experience working with an integrated warehouse management system (WMS) and transport management system (TMS)
  • Able to react and make decisions quickly, team player capable of working under pressure
  • Customer-service and results-driven approach
  • Excellent communication skills
