Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead our field construction teams across all projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing site supervisory teams and operations, ensuring projects meet our high standards of quality, on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee site supervisory teams and operations to ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements
  • Ensure safety compliance for all workers and maintain a safe and productive work environment
  • Mentor and provide guidance to supervisory teams to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Build relationships with staff, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Monitor project budgets and implement cost-saving measures to optimize project profitability
  • Review subcontractor invoices at 75% progress to ensure timely payments and avoid delays
  • Contribute to the development of initial construction schedules and facilitate recovery plans when schedules lag
Requirements
  • Journeyperson designation in a construction trade, Bachelor of Commerce degree, or a combination of related experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience on multi-family or large commercial projects over $40M+
  • Proven experience leading safe and productive construction sites of 100+ trade workers
  • Strong understanding of construction trades and project sequencing
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the construction process, drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and project management
  • Thorough understanding of building code requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore an asset
