Smart Systems Technology Solutions Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solutions Engineer to join our team at Plan Group, Inc. As a key member of our Smart Systems Technology group, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop performance specifications and design solutions for complex electrical systems.
- Collaborate with clients to finalize designs and create tailored solutions that meet their needs.
- Conduct site walkthroughs to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
- Focus on onboard and off-board vehicle systems, including PA, PIDs, GIDs, Farecard, Radio, and Train control.
- Design solutions such as harnesses, bracketry, and installation practices.
- Participate in prototyping and create installation design documentations.
- Produce performance specifications and documentation for accurate project execution.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specifications, and resolve ambiguities.
- Collaborate with sub-contractors and suppliers for component and system integration.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical support to sales activities.
- Attend handover meetings with the project management team after the award.
Requirements:
- A minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience within the electrical construction industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of smart systems, including wiring for building automation, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and mechanical systems.
- An Electrical Engineering degree or diploma, or related education and/or trade experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
