We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Pelican Events and Catering. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and stored properly.

The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and some experience in a similar role. You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. If you are a team player with excellent multitasking skills and a positive attitude, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables
  • Carry and replace linen
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Place dishes in storage area
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • Package take-out food
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products
