Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Future-Tech Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our retail store, ensuring seamless customer service and sales experiences.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a retail setting, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving sales growth. You will be responsible for assigning tasks to sales staff, hiring and training new employees, authorizing payments and ordering merchandise. Additionally, you will be expected to resolve customer complaints and supply shortages, as well as maintain accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure efficient workflow
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff members
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage financial transactions
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, promoting a positive work environment
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Accurate and organized, with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with basic computer software and systems
