Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Pizza Pizza is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality of food service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Manage Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our means and making the most of our resources.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that we maintain a positive reputation.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate data to inform our business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Site Environment: Noisy, odours, hot.
  • Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredient and supplies required, hire food service staff, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, address customers' complaints or concerns, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, prepare and submit reports, prepare food order summaries for chef, supervise and check assembly of trays, establish work schedules.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people, 5-10 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, attention to detail.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, temporary employment, 30 to 40 hours per week.
