Job Description:
The Project Director plays a crucial role in consolidating and growing our business supporting operations. This involves taking projects from inception to delivery, driving efficiencies, and directing business optimization to improve overall organization performance. The Project Director also supports the estimating team during the proposal stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee major construction projects, providing guidance and support to project and construction management teams.
- Set project strategy and success metrics, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Manage all aspects of a construction project, including problem-solving, team management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, and superintendents to develop project execution plans and monitor progress.
- Supervise project delivery, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and schedule milestones.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and key partners to strengthen company credibility and industry leadership.
- Drive innovation, propose technology improvements, and suggest process changes to enhance project delivery and company performance.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Civil/Structural), or graduate of an applicable technical diploma program, and/or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 15 years in an oil & gas construction project management or project supervision role or large-scale construction experience.
- 5-8 years working experience in a managerial role with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Availability to periodically travel to project sites.
