Job Summary

CAE is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for executing project management tasks to support the business unit (Defence & Security) on the delivery of post-delivery projects, services, spares, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and lead business measurements analysis and reporting of the business unit, providing recommendations to stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.
  • Lead the execution of project management processes, including:
    • Executing processes that support stakeholders (Project Manager, Customer Services Representatives, Logistic Support Planner, and Management) in decision-making, planning, controlling, and monitoring of project activities.
    • Liaising with Project Management and Finance to set up warranty projects and budget.
    • Executing all project initiation, setup, and closures.
    • Supporting the resolution of complex project activities.
    • Preparing Notice of Visit (NOV).
    • Customer Meeting logistic preparation.
    • Preparing Commercial Invoice for ad hoc shipments.
    • Maintaining SharePoint.
    • Supporting Export Control process and payment reporting to the Export Control Group.
    • Executing project and portfolio business financials cycle, providing reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Performing monthly financials reviews, analysis with management.
    • Creating annual and monthly forecasting reports on Spares, Repairs, Services.
    • Creating quarterly engineering and manufacturing manloading reporting to support the delivery of services.
    • Analysis project review cycle (PRC) and recommending a way forward.
    • Identifying discrepancies and recommending a way forward.
    • Performing, tracking, and maintaining invoicing and payment schedule.
    • Preparing, processing Customer Change Orders (CCO).
    • Creating Purchase Order (PO).
    • Preparing and submitting project hedging.
    • Supporting Finance in A/R.
    • Reconciling customer accounts.
  • Customer Services Business Measurement Analysis & Reporting and Governance
    • Developing measurements & analysis methodologies, key financial, and performance indicators.
    • Reporting key financial and performance indicators.
    • Gathering data and performing analysis on financials (Revenue, Order Intake, Forecasting, Cash, Budget, Gross Margin, Management accounts) to enable management in business decision-making.
    • Liaising with PMO analyst and Finance group.
  • Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
    • College degree and 8-12 years of related experience.
    • Results-driven, investing time on task-adding value and being financially conscious when delivering results.
    • Showing resilience when facing obstacles.
    • Customer-client focus.
    • Project management skills.
    • Ability to partner with and influence individuals.
    • Capable of working on multiple projects with little guidance.
    • Good organizational skills.
