Job Summary:

Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Assessment Specialist to join their Mental Health team at the Community Health and Services Centre in Kelowna, B.C. This term position is a great opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of children with complex developmental behavioural conditions, providing detailed reviews and triage for assessments into appropriate streams.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide direct psycho-social and family assessments, obtaining consents and collecting relevant prior assessments and history.
Prepare written assessments, including assessment and treatment history, as a key initial component of the assessment process.
Advocate for clients' needs by coordinating the involvement of other team members and/or health providers according to the needs of the client.
Provide consultation to developmental disability care facilities, Mental Health Outpatient Teams, and other referral agencies to improve the care of clients with mental health problems.
