Job Title: Senior Assessment Specialist

Interior Health is seeking a skilled professional to join our Mental Health team as a Senior Assessment Specialist. This role will support case management and assessment of Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions assessments for the Children's Assessment Network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive referrals for CDBC assessments and provide detailed review and triage for assessments into appropriate assessment streams.
  • Conduct direct psycho-social and family assessments, obtaining consents and collecting relevant prior assessments and history.
  • Prepare written assessments, including assessment and treatment history, as a key initial component of the assessment.
  • Consult with the Team Leader to provide input into policies and protocols for delivery of services using a best practice approach.
  • Advocate for clients' needs by coordinating the involvement of other team members and/or health providers.
