We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Laboratory Specialist at our Edmonton West location. Our company is dedicated to developing and enhancing services that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive services, including drug-free workplace programs, client development, and training. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing: Conduct in-office testing, collect and test samples, integrity testing, and reporting to DER
  • Blood Draws: Perform blood draws and prepare samples for testing
  • Audiometric and Spirometry Testing: Conduct Audiometric testing, Vision screening, Mask fit testing using Portacount, and Spirometry testing
  • Miscellaneous Duties: Reception and data management, appointment booking, tracking results, registering donors, faxing, and copying
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Successful completion of a Medical laboratory assistant program or college certificate program in medical laboratory science
    • Certification by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science to perform Phlebotomy
    • Audiometric and Spirometry testing certificates
  • Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
    • Specimen collection experience (1 year)
    • Audiometric testing experience (1 year)
    • Pulmonary function testing experience (1 year)
