Position Overview:

Bramur Plastics is seeking an experienced CAD Technician specializing in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D. The primary focus of this role is to design and develop detailed CAD models that align with customer specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • CAD Design: Create precise and detailed CAD designs using SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all designs meet production specifications and are optimized for manufacturing processes.
  • Translate customer requirements into functional CAD models, ensuring alignment with technical and practical needs.
  • Revise and update designs based on customer feedback or changes in project scope.
Bonus Skills:
  • Estimating: Assist in calculating project costs, including materials and labor, to support the sales and estimating teams.
  • Prototyping: Collaborate with technical teams on prototyping efforts, helping bring CAD designs into tangible models when necessary.
  • CNC Programming: Write toolpaths for CNC machines to ensure accurate and efficient production processes.
  • Production Support: Occasionally assist the shop floor team with production tasks, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
  • Customer Liaison: Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing updates on project progress and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D.
  • Strong experience in CAD design for manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce precise and functional CAD models.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with estimating, prototyping, CNC programming, production support, or customer service is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Starting Pay: $35.00 per hour.
  • Vacation: 4% vacation pay (equivalent to 2 weeks' vacation) for the first 3 years, increasing to 6% (3 weeks' vacation) after 3 years.
Work Hours:
  • Business Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
  • Overtime: May be required depending on project demands.
