Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Compliance
    • Prioritize the safety of customers, pets, and colleagues by maintaining a safe and clean store environment.
    • Help complete store Health & Safety audits and ensure the proper health, feeding, care, and well-being of all pets sold in store.
  • Customer Service and Sales
    • Greet and acknowledge every customer with respect and provide positive, consistent, and solution-oriented service.
    • Support sales and customer service to achieve overall Store Performance goals and stay current with pet industry standards through company LMS and on-the-job training.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Assist with operational processes, including placing orders, maintaining inventory, and completing mandatory paperwork and reports.
    • Help implement all strategic corporate initiatives and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude in the workplace and recognize successful performance through STAR feedback.
    • In cases where the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager are not in the store, Keyholder may assign daily goals and tasks to colleagues.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
