About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Wosler Diagnostics Crowsnest Pass Ltd. as a Medical Imaging Specialist. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Image Acquisition and Analysis: Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images are obtained.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Examination Support: Provide personal assistance to patients during treatments, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare examination reports for physicians, summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor examination quality and consistency, making adjustments to equipment as needed to ensure optimal results.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Possess American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certification and Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration.
  • Area of Specialization: Abdominal sonography, obstetrical and gynecological sonography, and peripheral vascular sonography.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, with attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, and reliability.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a permanent position and 30 hours per week.
