Job Description:

The Woodworking Specialist will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

The successful candidate will also be required to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, instruct apprentices, supervise other workers, estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • 2-3 years of experience in woodworking or a related field;
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations;
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
