Network Security Architect

Omers, a global pension plan, is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team. We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus benefits.

This role is crucial to enforcing enterprise cyber policies and controls on the network infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, deploying, operating, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Implementing firewall rules using orchestration tools like AlgoSec.
  • Monitoring firewall performance and health, resolving issues as they arise, and optimizing firewall performance through regular tuning and configuration adjustments.
  • Conducting periodic reviews and audits of firewall configurations and policies to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing Palo Alto firewalls, implementing firewall rules using orchestration tools like AlgoSec, and conducting periodic reviews and audits of firewall configurations and policies.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
  • 5 Years experience of managing and automating firewalls through AlgoSec.
  • 2 years' experience in managing network infrastructure in Azure or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications, such as: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), AlgoSec Certified Security Expert (ACSE), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
