Mechanical Engineering Co-op or Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineering student to join our team at Cenovus. As a co-op or internship student, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful, diverse, and challenging assignments alongside industry leading professionals.
You will be part of a driven, collaborative team completing important projects while receiving the mentorship, knowledge, and experience to develop the skills you need to build an exciting career.
With a Mechanical Engineering degree, you could be placed in one of the following business units or roles: Facility Integrity Engineering, Risk Management, Reliability Engineering, Project Engineering, Asset Integrity, Operations Engineering, Pipeline Integrity Engineering, or Maintenance Readiness.
Responsibilities
- Manage Risk Assessment process, including scribing and authenticating processes
- Complete P&ID reviews, MOC Management and other daily technical support
- Learn and apply basic codes and standards in mechanical/material engineering and develop associated documents and procedures
- Complete Engineering Investigations
Requirements
- Legally eligible to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application
- Available to begin work in May 2025

Education
- Must be enrolled in a Mechanical or Materials Engineering Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term
- Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
Safety Sensitive
- This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours
- Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements
