Mechanical Engineering Co-op Opportunity in Calgary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering co-op student to join our team at Cenovus. As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects, develop your technical skills, and build relationships with industry professionals.
The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a Mechanical or Materials Engineering undergraduate program at an accredited post-secondary institution, available to begin work in May 2025, and able to commit to a minimum of 8 months. Job responsibilities- Manage risk assessments, including scribing and authenticating processes
- Complete P&ID reviews, MOC management, and other daily technical support
- Learn and apply basic codes and standards in mechanical/material engineering and develop associated documents and procedures
- Conduct engineering investigations and gather data to inform project decisions
As a co-op student with Cenovus, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills and knowledge in:
- Mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Risk assessment and mitigation techniques
- P&ID review and analysis
- MOC management and implementation
- Document development and procedure writing
