Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will have a valid Class 1 License and a minimum of 2 years of experience driving a tractor-trailer.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials across Canada and the United States
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
- Operate and maintain the vehicle's equipment, including brakes, lights, and tires
- Load and unload goods, and ensure they are properly secured for transport
- Communicate with dispatch and other drivers to coordinate transportation
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 License
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving a tractor-trailer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
