Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor

At Seasons Retirement Communities, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Supervisor. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care services to our residents, while mentoring and guiding our care staff to ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Supervise and mentor care staff, providing guidance and education to ensure excellent care services are delivered to our residents.
  • Conduct assessments of residents moving into our community and follow up with them throughout their stay to ensure their needs are met.
  • Establish priorities based on individual resident needs and provide Person-Centred Service Plans (PCC) to ensure their care is tailored to their unique needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Resident Assessments/Service Plans (PCC) and follow community-specific policies, procedures, and Alberta Health Services (AHS) regulations.
  • Manage risk by adhering to thorough monthly care-related audits and ensuring medication administration is carried out safely and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with CLPNA.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and provide leadership and supervision to care staff.
  • Experience working with seniors in a retirement or long-term care facility environment is considered an asset.
