About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients navigate the complex world of Cyber Security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in various Cyber Security client engagements, providing expert advice and guidance to clients.
  • Work with clients to prepare them for ISO27001 certification or perform ISO27001 gap analysis exercises, ensuring they meet the highest standards of Cyber Security.
  • Support and lead ISO27001 certification audits, ensuring a smooth and successful process for our clients.
  • Execute cyber maturity and gap assessments against industry standards such as ISO27001 or NIST CSF, providing actionable insights to clients.
  • Assist clients with Business continuity planning reviews, ensuring they are prepared for any potential disruptions.
  • Perform Privacy Impact Assessments for clients, ensuring their data is protected and secure.
  • Create and/or assess cyber policies, practices, and governance, ensuring they are aligned with industry best practices.
  • Work on delivering multiple client engagements of varying size, scope, and complexity, demonstrating your ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Service Delivery: conduct research, perform technical testing, write reports, conduct interviews, and communicate regularly with clients and resources.
Requirements
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be an asset: ISO27001 - either implementation or auditing, Business Continuity/ISO22301, Privacy Regulation and compliance, Security Risk Management.
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or relevant degree subject, but we welcome people from all subjects if you have a passion for Cyber Security.
  • Ideally at least 3 years' experience in Cyber Security, either in industry or a consulting role.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, one of or a combination of the following designations; ISO27001 Lead Auditor, CIPP/C, SSCP, CISA, CISM, CISSP.
  • A good understanding of various IT infrastructure systems and components (servers, firewalls, network, etc.).
  • Ability to work both independently, with little supervision, and within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to express insights, both written and orally.
  • Attention to detail and strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of business risks and audit risks.
  • Ability to obtain Government of Canada clearance (preferred).
