About the Role

Mercer is seeking a highly skilled Defined Contribution (DC) Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our team in Montreal, Ottawa, or Quebec. As a key member of our team, you will deliver a full range of services to institutional clients who sponsor or intend to set up a group retirement savings plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a full range of services to institutional clients, including selection of record keepers, ongoing monitoring of DC plan operations, and review of vendor contracts.
  • Establish project plans for DC plan implementations and manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Design optimal investment structures, select and monitor investment managers and funds, and develop plan governance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide legal support.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and manage all aspects of consulting relationships.
  • Contribute to business development through direct client/prospect approach, responding to requests for proposal, and participating in shortlist presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or other business-related areas with strong quantitative and analytical course content.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience for Consultant and 8 years for Senior Consultant with Defined Contribution plans in the capacity of plan sponsor, consultant, or relationship manager with a record keeper.
  • Fluent bilingualism (English and French).
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Experience in client relationship management.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional service to clients.
  • CFA, ASA, or FICA certification is considered an asset.
