We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Initiatives Leader to join our ScotiaMcLeod team.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

This salary range is based on industry standards and takes into account the job requirements, location, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that support ScotiaMcLeod's long-term vision and goals.
  2. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and internal assessments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  3. Manage scope, budget, risk, resources, plan, and internal/external communications for assigned projects.
  4. Support the ScotiaMcLeod leadership team in planning, implementing, and monitoring internal, cross-functional programs and procedures.
  5. Identify initiatives and processes that contribute to efficient and effective operation of the business.
  6. Develop and implement change management activities specifically related to projects and initiatives assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Project Management (PMP) and/or Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate strategy, consulting focused on wealth management, banking or financial services industry, is an asset.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen and attention to detail.
  • Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal for interacting with stakeholders with varying cross cultural and language differences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other teams and senior executives.
  • Advanced knowledge in financial analysis.
  • Advanced leadership skills in Building Strategic Relationships and Customer Focus.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
