Carpentry and Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled handyman/woman with years of experience in the trades to join our team at Mr. Handyman. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling routine paperwork, basic marketing, customer relations, vehicle maintenance, and other tasks assigned by your supervisor.

About the Role: Mr. Handyman is a one-call hassle-free solution for a wide range of home maintenance and repair needs. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality standards and reliability while delivering excellent customer service. As a handyman/woman, you will have significant contact with customers and be expected to develop and grow within your skillset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor carpentry, including installation and repairs of cabinets, doors, drywall, and painting
  • Complete miscellaneous plumbing, including installation of faucets, and bathroom fixtures
  • Install and repair lighting fixtures and bulbs
  • Assemble furniture
  • Complete work orders and other administrative paperwork in a timely fashion
  • Report all injuries immediately and must be immediately seen by a physician/clinic specified by the supervisor
  • Abide by all rules, regulations, and policies contained in the employee handbook, safety manual, and employment agreement

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in carpentry and/or the trades (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record (required) with ability to read maps and navigate the community
  • Agility and stamina to perform tasks consistent with normal house repair-maintenance activities
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative to travel directly to customers' homes without stopping by the Mr. Handyman office and work overtime as needed
