Sales and Marketing Representative Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales and Marketing Representative to join our team at Wesco. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding our customer base through face-to-face sales and account management activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and expand assigned customer account plans in collaboration with management.
  • Enhance billing margins through value-added services, marketing initiatives, and supplier engagement.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling and referral channels.
  • Assess and meet customer product or service needs through effective communication and product demonstrations.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
  • Stay informed about new products, services, and enhancements to alert customers of potential interests.
  • Utilize sales management tools for sales planning, supplier planning, and documenting opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers through joint sales calls.
  • Provide quotations directly or in conjunction with the sales support team.

Requirements:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Prior sales experience required, outside sales experience preferred.
  • Two years of industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and occasional overnight travel.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication both written and verbally.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques preferred.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.

Working Environment: Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but the employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period with frequent stops and starts. The employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
