SRE DevOps Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SRE DevOps Engineer to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As an SRE DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as IaaS, PaaS, RDS, and Observability.
  • Develop and automate infrastructure using cloud-based Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK and TypeScript.
  • Implement configuration management using tools such as Ansible and YAML.
  • Work with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Implement observability and logging tools such as Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, and Cloud Watch.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and programming languages such as Python, Bash, and JavaScript.
  • Ensure security and compliance in a financial institution or other regulated industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Strong experience with cloud-based Infrastructure as Code and services using AWS.
  • Strong experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and YAML.
  • Strong experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Strong experience with observability and logging tools such as Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, and Cloud Watch.
  • Strong experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, and JavaScript.
  • Strong experience with security and compliance in a financial institution or other regulated industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with ITIL processes including problem and change management, configuration and release management.
  • Knowledge of Oracle products including Oracle, OEM, and Golden Gate.
