Senior Manager – Cross Border Tax

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our tax practice in Toronto or Vancouver. As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in managing tax engagements and contributing to the growth of the firm and our clients.

Our tax practice offers a range of tax and succession planning areas, including estate & trust compliance, personal and corporate tax planning, purchase and sale of private businesses, estate planning, and cross border investment and compliance. We are interested in meeting candidates with experience in any of these areas.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with Tax Partners and other Senior staff on personal tax compliance and tax advisory engagements
  • Managing and coordinating tax planning and compliance services for individuals requiring US and Canadian income or estate tax filings
  • Managing risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections and project budgets
  • Reviewing assessments and corresponding with the IRS, state authorities and CRA on various issues
  • Building and managing client relationships at a senior level; advising clients by delivering high quality tax service and advice
  • Actively mentoring and coaching staff to their highest potential
  • Supporting and mentoring firm staff in respect of tax matters
  • Identifying client service opportunities

Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum
