Baker Tilly WM LLP, a leading midsize accounting and advisory firm in Vancouver and Toronto, offers an exceptional opportunity for a Canadian Tax Senior Accountant to join their tax practice in Toronto.

This versatile role involves working directly with staff and clients, managing tax engagements, and contributing to the growth of the firm and its clients.

The tax practice covers a range of areas including estate & trust compliance, personal and corporate tax planning, purchase and sale of private businesses, estate planning, and cross-border investment and compliance.

Candidates with experience in these areas are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review Canadian individual and corporate tax returns
  • Verify tax assessments
  • Perform technical research and document tax plan recommendations
  • Correspond with clients, other advisors, and tax authorities
  • Coordinate and manage client accounts
  • Assist managers and partners with tax initiatives, including developing and implementing tax planning strategies for clients
  • Understand, analyze, and research tax queries for clients, Partners, Senior Managers, and Managers
  • Collaborate with and support team members in providing exceptional client service
  • Provide leadership and direction to junior team members to ensure completion of filings by designated deadlines
