Cvent, Inc. is a leading provider of meetings, events, and hospitality technology. We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our Studio team.

Cvent Studio is a cutting-edge platform that empowers event planners to create and deliver exceptional virtual, hybrid, and webinar events. With features like one-click transitions, pre-planned segments, and built-in recording, our platform enables users to produce broadcast-quality video content.

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will lead and mentor teams of dedicated engineers to build scalable and reliable applications. You will create beautiful, interactive, and easy-to-use web applications using React, Redux, and Node.js. Your expertise in full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript, MongoDB, and experience with relational and document databases will be invaluable to our team.

We're looking for a technical leader who can provide guidance and mentorship to our engineers. You will work closely with our Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and Product Designer to break down complex problems into achievable chunks. If you have experience in transcoding live video/audio for real-time streaming and a passion for innovative technology, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor teams of engineers to build scalable and reliable applications
  • Create beautiful, interactive, and easy-to-use web applications using React, Redux, and Node.js
  • Uphold technical rigor on your team
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to break down complex problems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with React, Redux, Node.js, and MongoDB
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills
  • Passion for innovative technology and problem-solving
