Job Title: Senior Systems Architect/Application Engineer

CNL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Architect/Application Engineer to join our team in Fredericton, New Brunswick. As a key member of our Applied Physics Branch, you will be responsible for leading software solution development and providing technical expertise in architecting software solutions and leading project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the Senior technical lead for computer-based solution development.
  • Prepare project proposals and work plans, and associated project management activities.
  • Develop and effectively articulate novel ideas, concepts, and proposals for new projects.
  • Provide advice on strategic direction, planning, and coordination of major research programs.
  • Lead large groups of engineering/science and technical staff in highly technical applications.
  • Mentor science & technology staff.
  • Represent organizational or national scientific interests at national and international meetings.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics from a recognized university.
  • 10+ years' software development experience with at least three programming/scripting languages and tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting software solutions and leading project delivery in small teams.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle and associated tools.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required.
