Position: Procurement Specialist - Industrial Chemicals (G3)

Location: Burlington, ON, Vaudreuil, QC

Status: Full-time, permanent

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Industrial Chemicals Group. This individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and inventory management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process, including issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries
  • Implement measures to minimize aging inventory
  • Foster strong communication between commercial teams and suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes
  • Reconcile complex supplier invoices monthly
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and quality documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement
  • Review and take action on weekly profit/loss reports

Qualifications:

  • University degree or post-secondary education in Business/Commerce or Supply Chain
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in procurement, inventory control or supply chain
  • Advanced computer skills and experience working with SAP or JD Edwards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset
