Job Title: Senior Software Developer/Architect

Our client is a leader in Location Business Intelligence software, enabling their clients with data products, technology, and professional services to harness the benefits of location intelligence. They have a blue-chip customer base composed of Fortune 1000 and government accounts.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity as our client is working on a machine learning/Big Data project. As a Senior Software Developer/Architect, you will be a key resource working on an analytical and data mining platform utilizing Microsoft technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a software development team to develop solutions
  • Support the development of solution designs and testing scripts
  • Support under the direction of a Senior technical architect, the development of solution modules
  • Oversee testing workflows on code and review recorded findings, working with the development team to resolve defects
Requirements
  • 8+ years with Back-End/Middle Tier C#,.NET
  • Experience building scalable software or distributed systems
  • Excellent object-oriented analysis and design skills (OOA/OOD)
  • Experience with Web Services, WCF and SOA
  • Experience in web development and JavaScript
  • SQL Server
  • Experience with Agile
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle activities: requirements management, technical design, implementation, testing/release
  • Strong knowledge of data structures
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Preferred Skills
  • Big Data / Hadoop (some Java skills)
  • GIS with SQL Server and Mapping technologies
  • Mathematics background / algorithm development, quantitative analysis and statistics
