Senior Software Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at Jonas Software - Canada. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing complex software solutions that meet our clients' business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop clean, modular, and reusable code structures using C, C++, and other programming languages.
  • Provide input to application design and requirements.
  • Perform unit testing and support other testing activities.
  • Create technical documentation as required.
  • Participate in ad hoc special projects as required.
  • Work effectively with other staff members to accomplish work and departmental projects.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding progress and project status.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for conferences and trade shows.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field – Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT/software development environment with a strong focus on complex business applications, web applications, and demonstrated success as a developer.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of languages and tools, including C, C++, Java, JavaScript.
  • Working knowledge of web interface design tools such as HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, REST APIs.
  • Working knowledge with.Net, JSON, and XML technologies.
  • Previous experience using Visual Studio Code and Git.
  • Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with the PxPlus and/or ProvideX products or similar experience.
