Nursing Care Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Assistant to join our team at Romko Residences LTD. As a Nursing Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care
  • Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments
  • Maintain patients' rooms, including making beds and ensuring a clean environment
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and provide support as needed
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as required
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure a well-stocked environment
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect
  • Transport patients between care facilities and within the facility
  • Answer call signals and respond to patients' needs promptly
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations
Work Environment:

As a Nursing Care Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure. You will be required to perform repetitive tasks, work physically demanding shifts, and maintain attention to detail. You will also need to be able to distinguish between colors and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
