As a Senior Tax Manager, you'll work closely with partners and other senior staff to develop and implement effective strategies and tax planning assignments. Your responsibilities will include:
* Performing technical research and developing and documenting tax plan recommendations
* Managing a portfolio of tax services clients
* Reviewing tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
* Managing engagement financials, including budgets, WIP, variances, and billing
* Mentoring, training, and developing staff
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Successful completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or Master of Tax Program
* A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in tax
* High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, and tax research software
* At least two years in a tax manager role, HST experience is an asset
* Understanding of a client-focused fast-paced work environment and the ability to effectively pivot between tasks, prioritize, and manage deliverables to meet conflicting deadlines
* Business development skills are an asset
