About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead our software engineering teams and drive the design, development, and deployment of software applications. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage multiple software engineering teams and their team leads.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software applications.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce manual efforts.
- Provide architectural expertise to design scalable, secure, and robust systems.
- Ensure software solutions comply with banking regulations and security standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing multiple teams.
- Proven experience collaborating with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
- Proficient in AWS cloud services.
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., AWS CodeBuild, Github Action, Jenkins).
- Experience with automation frameworks and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Understanding of software architecture principles (e.g., Domain Driven, GRASP, SOLID).
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
What We Offer
Peoples Trust is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. In addition, we offer employees both group benefits and the option to participate in our RRSP matching program, beginning the first day of employment. Salary for this position will vary between $150,000.00 and $180,000.00 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
