About the Role

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Healthcare Resource Manager to join our team. As a Healthcare Resource Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the effective utilization of hospital resources by coordinating patient placement and bed utilization.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge and experience in acute care settings, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, providing guidance to healthcare teams, and representing management in dealing with patient and family concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate timely patient placement at acute sites and designated Fraser Health facilities.
  • Coordinate patient placement activities, prioritizing critical issues requiring immediate action.
  • Consult with Patient Transfer Network (PTN) and community resources to identify appropriate care for patients.
  • Supervise and coordinate clinical staff, making clinical and operational decisions after hours when necessary.
  • Act as a clinical resource for nursing staff, providing guidance on patient placement and flow.
  • Analyze statistics and trends to identify strategies for optimal bed utilization and patient management.
