Carpentry Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter Lead Hand to join our team at Appenzell Construction Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of various building components, including wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and ensure compliance with building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create various structures.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry.
- Carpenter Trade Certification and Red Seal Certificate.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) training and working at heights training.
- Occupational Health and Safety Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and make sound judgments.
