About the Role

This hybrid role is based out of our Yonge/Eglinton Campus and requires working onsite a minimum two days per week. As an IT Security Specialist Co-op, you will work closely with our team to gather requirements and architect technical solutions for identity and access management controls and policies.

Responsibilities
  • Execute logical access requests and provide technical support for related issues.
  • Conduct in-depth technical analysis to solve identity and access management challenges.
  • Assist in governance, process oversight, and management of Active Directory users and groups.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities may include recommending process changes, participating in integration projects, and educating IT and business partners on IDAM processes and controls.
Requirements
  • Working towards a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or Information Systems (IS), Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science/Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in support and scripting tools including SQL, Perl, PowerShell, jQuery, SOAP, and REST.
  • Skilled in using tools such as Postman, Putty, SoapUI, and JMeter for various tasks.
  • Experienced in supporting enterprise solutions like Linux, AIX, Active Directory, LDAP, network capture tools, log analysis solutions, and iptables.
  • Developed and configured Active Directory, LDAP, and PowerShell for effective system management.
  • Knowledgeable in independent security testing principles and adept with security scanning tools for systems and applications.
