Job SummaryThe Application Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software engineering solutions in a time-bound agile manner. This role offers the opportunity to dive into projects and deliverables spanning across all business units and functions within the enterprise.
This includes a large-scale system modernization, business transformation work, and a cloud adoption strategy. The successful candidate will have the ability to transform business requirements into technical tasks, implement them, and document the solutions.
Responsibilities- Participate in and support the development of Sagen's modernization strategy and implementation.
- Deliver software development projects according to scope, schedule, quality, performance, and scalability expectations.
- Contribute to the design and development of brand-new applications/microservices as well as the enhancement/re-architecture of existing components.
- Collaborate with the team on all stages of the SDLC within a Scaled Agile environment.
- Reverse engineer existing applications, supporting their re-design and modernization.
- Enhance existing components to satisfy new performance and scalability requirements.
- Ensure secure development practices for all new development and security remediation projects for legacy code as required.
- Bachelor of science degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably building large-scale systems.
- Cross-functional knowledge and the drive to dive into the details of how each business unit works.
- Experience building applications with web, mobile, or enterprise technology stack.
- 2+ years of excellent skills in Java.
- 2+ years of coding with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL; strong skills in querying and SQL scripting with Oracle database.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills enabling the exchange of complex information with a non-technical audience.
- Scrum Master certified.
- Hands-on experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, Angular, Node, NPM, Typescript, Bootstrap frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Python or R language and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with any cloud technologies, preferably AWS & Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Okta.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence.
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
