Cafe Assistant Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Cafe Assistant to join our team at Water Street Cafe. As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Assist customers with their orders, answer questions, and provide a positive dining experience.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and serve food and beverages, including operating dishwashers, washing dishes, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, and cleaning kitchen surfaces.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
Requirements:
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and management.
- Reliability: Ability to maintain a reliable and punctual work schedule, including flexibility to work overtime as needed.
