Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as baking mixed dough and batters. You will also be responsible for frosting and decorating cakes and baked goods, drawing up production schedules, and ensuring that the quality of products meets established standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Production Scheduling: Draw up production schedules to meet customer demand.
  • Decorating and Presentation: Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management to ensure that ingredients and supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the cafe team to ensure that customer needs are met and that the cafe runs smoothly.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or cafe environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
