Position Overview

We're seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our dynamic team in the MRI department. Your primary goal will be to conduct imaging examinations that meet the established standards of the Department and the CMRTO. You'll operate MRI equipment with ease, communicate effectively, and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Magnetic Resonance imaging examinations as required, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Implement proper health, safety, and radiation protection procedures for patients, employees, and visitors.
  • Assume operational responsibility when on shift, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient patient care.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists as needed, providing exceptional support and expertise.
  • Maintain equipment, imaging rooms, and supplies in optimal condition, following established policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario.
  • Member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiologists, preferred.
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge of changes in the profession and the field of MRI.
  • BCLS certification is an asset.
  • Post-graduate experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Experience in MRI is an asset.*
  • Must have IV and contrast injection experience, an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset.

This Part-time Casual position offers 8-hour shifts, days, evenings, and nights shifts, including weekends, and on an as needed basis in the MRI department.
